wedding expo contest winners - Shane and Kyla
Friday, March 30, 2012 Although my idea originally for contest winners Shane and Kyla was to do their photos at a really beautiful outdoor skating rink the weather warmed up and melted everything away the week before their shoot (not usually a problem for the middle of March)! I improvised on the fly and their shoot turned out beautifully anyway. Congrats again to Shane and Kyla and their little baby Carter!

maternity session - Monique
Friday, March 30, 2012 Another gorgeous Mommy-to-be! Even though there was snow on the ground the lovely March temps had Monique feeling brave enough to go shirtless! Looking forward to meeting Monique and Aaron's little babe who shares the same due date as my birthday! Check out her perfect little baby bump.

cupcake session - Megan + Darcy
Friday, March 30, 2012 Megan and Darcy were such a joy to work with as we braved a snowy afternoon earlier this month for their engagement photos. I always love getting feedback after a shoot about how much fun a couple has had despite previously not enjoying being in front of the camera! This couple chose to upgrade the small hardcover book that comes with their engagement photo package to a medium sized hardcover book to use as the guestbook at their wedding - a great idea! I am looking forward to capturing their wedding day next February!

Ella's Room.
Friday, March 16, 2012 My sweet little baby's sanctuary. She still sleeps in a bassinet beside our bed and I know I need to make the transition for her to sleep in her own little room very soon (gulp). She's just such an amazing sleeper ( 8 - 10 hours a night!) that I don't want to mess with a good thing!
Her room is filled with so many treasures: wooden toys her uncle brought back from Prague, vintage cameras, frames, bonnet, suitcases, and teacup from her grandma T, as well as a framed DIY of fabric and pressed flowers from my wedding. There is a handmade mobile from her auntie Liz, a framed ivory lace ruffled romper and her floral headpiece I made for her birth announcement, her wooden dresser and changetable we painted to match and changed the hardware on for a prettier feel, and a crocheted blanket from her great-grandma T. I also love her framed first photo (ultrasound at 4 months pregnant), her tiny foot impression when she was 2 weeks, and her sweet little ankle hospital bracelet that was able to slip off her foot (not much bigger than a loonie! And I just love that adorable plush rocking bunny with floppy ears; a baby shower gift from a great family friend.

6 months old. love.
